Step-By-Step: 1. Run a fresh slice of grapefruit around the rim of the glass (or pour juice onto a small plate & dip the glass onto the plate).

2. Dip the "freshly juice" glass onto another small plate with kosher salt.

3. Add ice to glass. 4. Pour gin over ice.

5. Top with grapefruit juice. 6. Garnish with a slice of grapefruit and serve.

Book Pairing: The House In The Cerulean Sea (Reviewed April 29, 2020) Why? Pretty self-explanatory. The majority of the book takes place on an island in the sea. Salty. Water. Sea. Salty Dog. I do think the grapefruit juice is a good choice - not a favorite fruit folks are pining for - misunderstood - it's there because it's healthy & your doctor makes you. But if you walk through the steps properly, it's a solid drink. Cheers!
